When Girls Lead: How Faith in Christ is Transforming Families

At the heart of every transformational story is a spark - often small, often quiet - but powerful enough to light the way for others. In one of our Girls Groups, we've witnessed firsthand how the faith of just one girl can flow outward, reaching hearts that once seemed unreachable. Today, we’re honored to share the stories of Djouly and Wideline - two girls whose quiet faith has changed not just their own lives, but the lives of their families.

Djouly: A Daughter’s Light: In May 2025, twelve-year-old Djouly - a participant in one of our Girls Groups located in the rural Haitian countryside outside of Jacmel - made the eternity-altering decision to accept Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. Raised by her mother, Ophinette, Djouly grew up without the presence of her father - a common experience for many young girls in Haiti. Despite the challenges of being raised in a single parent household, she discovered hope and identity through her relationship with Christ. But Djouly’s story did not end in her own salvation. Her transformation and the joy she found in Christ deeply touched her mother. In June 2025, Ophinette also surrendered her life to Christ, moved by the faith she saw growing in her daughter. In Djouly, we see the incredible truth that age does not limit impact, as we are reminded in 1 Timothy 4:12, “Let no one despise you for your youth, but set the believers an example in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, in purity.” A young girl, full of faith, led her own mother from darkness to the feet of Jesus. She reminds us that no matter our background, God can use anyone to lead others to Him.

Wideline: Faith that Breaks Generational Chains: In May 2025, the same month as Djouly’s conversion, another young girl, Wideline, came to Christ. Unlike many others in our group, Wideline came from a non-Christian family. She was the first in her household to make this decision - and she made it boldly. In July 2025, Wideline’s older sister, Miranda, was so inspired by the changes that she saw in Wideline that she too gave her life to Christ. Then came an unexpected breakthrough, powered by the Holy Spirit . In August 2025, Wideline’s mother, Amise, made a radical decision. Amise was a long time practitioner of voodoo and was known in her community as a witchdoctor.. But something had shifted. Watching her daughter grow in faith, peace and purpose through her involvement in our small group, Amise saw the truth that she could not deny. She chose to renounce voodoo and witchcraft - and gave her life to Christ. Three generations transformed. One girl’s faith lit the way and opened the door for the Holy Spirit to penetrate a darkened, forgotten corner of Haiti.

Small Groups, Big Impact: These stories are not isolated. They are a reflection of what happens when young girls are seen, supported and spiritually equipped. Our Girls Groups exist to empower young women to know their identity in Christ and to live it out with courage. What we are seeing is more than inspiration or feel-good stories - it is revival. It's the power of the Gospel and the Holy Spirit at work in the next generation. Djouly and Wideline didn’t just find hope for themselves. They became messengers of that hope to their families, echoing the promise of Acts 16:31, “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved, you and your household.” Because of their faith, entire households HAVE been saved!

Keep Praying, Keep Believing: These stories of Djouly, Wideline and their families are enduring reminders of why we were called to start Kingdom Builders Global Ministries and how the Lord can powerfully work when we obey Him. Our guiding verse is Colossians 1:13, “He has delivered us from the domain of darkness and transferred us to the Kingdom of His Beloved Son…” We are rejoicing that Djouly, Wideline and their families now belong to the Kingdom of God’s Beloved Son. We invite you to continue praying for these young women and their families. Pray for strength to walk out their faith. Pray for continued growth, deeper discipleship, and lasting transformation. Pray that more girls in our communities will rise up in faith - because if there is anything these stories have shown us, it's this: When girls lead with faith, families follow.
